Deep Learning Engineer

A unique deep learning position straddling between science fiction and applicable tools

MapsIndoors is a market leading platform for live indoor navigation, and we work with some of the largest companies in the world. As a live data visualization platform we need to continue our automation efforts to reach our goal of producing "Maps in Minutes”

Today the deployment process includes manual steps that adds to the time from deal is signed to product is delivered. Our vision is to do maps in minutes by introducing deep learning techniques in transforming CAD floor plans to map tiles.

We have established a new group, Automation, whose goal is to fulfill this vision. To this group, we now seek a deep learning engineer.

Your job:

You will work closely with our CIO, Data Automation Engineers and Geo Data Specialists. Your work day will be a mix of research and development of state-of-the-art deep learning techniques and methodologies. The prime goal is to further automate our map production line, bringing valuable tools to our team of Geo Data Specialists. 

We have well documented manual processes to bring CAD drawings to life in the MapsIndoors application. The goal is to handle a substantially increased map production volume by automating the manual processes using deep learning techniques.

Our efforts involve step by step improvements of existing processes. Typically, this is organized in smaller projects with a duration of a few months.

Specifically, your job is to....

  • operationalize deep learning and algorithm theory to scalable and easy-to-use tools in our CAD Drafter team. 
  • automate processing of vector data from detailed CAD drawings to simplified indoor maps.
  • research in and develop deep learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Prototype, design and code tools.
  • improve and document workflows.

Your profile:

To be successful in this position you have a Computer Science background. We are open to new graduates as well as experienced profiles with 5+ years of industry experience within:

  • Computer vision, graph neural networks and the deep learning domain
  • Experience with coding/scripting 
  • Experience with database design and SQL skills and/or graph databases
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with other scripting language

If you have previous experience with geometric deep learning it is clearly an advantage.

You communicate fluently in English, and proficiency in Danish is an additional plus.
