Our Deployment department implements MapsIndoors solutions for customers all over the world. A MapsIndoors solution consists of mapping the customers’ floorplans, configuring map tiles and in some cases also new functionality in the MapsIndoors platform.
We need you, an experienced project manager, to steer our implementation projects successfully in goal and to lead our group of Technical Designers and Project Managers in Aalborg and Austin, TX.
With direct report to our CIO you will be a key enabler for a long term successful customer relationship and for the general well-being in the Project Management Team. From contract signing to delivery of an indoor navigation solution you pull the strings internally as well as externally, ensuring successful deliveries in terms of scope, time, economy, and quality.
You will head a team of Technical Designers and Project Managers. Typically, project team members come from both our US and Denmark based offices.
The position includes a lot of contact and coordination with customers and establishing a good and professional relationship is paramount.
Concrete tasks and responsibilities in the job:
- Coordinate between technical designers and project managers at our offices in Aalborg and Austin.
- Manage Jira Software and Jira Service Desk projects and workflows related to daily production and technical support.
- Manage, maintain and develop internal procedures and guides.
- Project management on internal projects and customer projects related to the MapsIndoors platform.
- Develop the professional skills of technical designers and project managers.
- Daily leadership, coaching, 1:1 dialogues etc.
- Employee development and training.
You should expect light travel activity (one to two travels a year) primarily to USA. Also, you must be prepared for afternoon video meetings between our Aalborg and Austin offices.
You probably hold a relevant degree within IT and/or SW, however other educations can also be applicable. In any case, you have a solid technical foundation and we expect at least 10 years of professional experience with project or programme management of IT/SW delivery projects including a proven track record of:
- building strong and trustworthy relationships with customers as well as with team members
- delivering SW projects
- Implementing project processes
It is not essential that you have experience with direct leadership, however you must definitely have the motivation for it.
On a personal level you take responsibility for delivering solutions on time, and you are comfortable being in direct contact with customers and partners in order to attain goals together. Furthermore, you...
