Backend Developer
As a developer at MapsPeople you have an impact on everyday decision making in the development department as well as the product we deliver to our customers.
We are looking for an experienced backend developer to join the Development Department, which is responsible for the development and maintenance of MapsIndoors - our world leading flagship of indoor navigation - and the supporting CMS.
At our main office in Aalborg, we are 20 dedicated developers (and expanding during 2022), so you will get plenty of opportunity to share knowledge and experience.

Your job:
As a part of the Backend Developer Team you will share the responsibility for the server side and database tasks, serving high performance web and mobile applications.
The server side tasks includes:
- Development of scalable, reusable and robust complex distributed solutions that are easy to maintain and easy to operate
- Development of all server side and database solutions
- Development of cloud based solutions
- Unit test, integration test and documentation
- Indoor wayfinding algorithms
- Geo-spacial algorithms
Your profile:
You probably hold a relevant degree within SW development and 2+ years experience with backend technologies, preferably in .NET, which is required to be successful in this position.
Furthermore you have experience with following technologies:
- C# and .NET core
- REST APIs and MQTT
- MongoDB or other NoSQL database
- Docker, Kubernetes, GCP
- Agile development methods and tools (GitOps, Jira, GitLab, Slack)
Additionally, any knowledge of or experience with SaaS solutions is an advantage.
