Project Manager
We are expanding our Deployment team in Austin with a skilled Project Manager who can lead the implementation of MapsIndoors solutions for some of the biggest organizations in the US.
Your job:
For successful delivery of a project, you will collaborate and manage project team members from cross functional teams ranging from Geo Data Specialists, Solutions Engineers and (in some cases) Development Engineers.
You will be a key enabler for the implementation of a long term successful customer or partner relationship. From contract signing to delivery of an indoor navigation solution you pull the strings internally as well as externally, ensuring successful deliveries in terms of scope, time, economics, and quality.
You will project manage a team of Geo Data Specialists, Solutions Engineers and (in some cases) Development Engineers. Typically, project team members come from both our US and Denmark based offices. You will be based in Austin, Texas.
The position includes a lot of contact and coordination with customers and establishing a strong professional relationship is paramount.
MapsPeople has multiple Project Managers covering projects all over the world. Half of the team will be located in Austin, Texas. You will focus on U.S. projects but may occasionally support global deployments as well. The Project Managers have weekly meetings to review priorities, planning and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities:
- Review Statement of work before signing with a client
- Produce estimates for projects together with a Geo Data Specialist
- Facilitate kick-off meetings with new clients and partners
- Manage cross departmental internal project resources to deliver a successful project
- Facilitate status meetings with clients and partners during the delivery phase
- Report project progress to the clients and management
- Facilitate hand off meetings with clients and partner with Customer Success Manager
Your profile:
You hold a relevant degree within project management and have a strong technical attitude. We expect at least 5 years of professional experience with project management of IT delivery projects including a proven track record of:
- Building strong and trustworthy relationships with customers
- Delivering software projects
- Implementing project processes
- Advance knowledge with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Comfortable and flexible with working with virtual teams in different time zones
You have technical flair and understanding of software development. If you have experience with maps / floorplans, navigation, as well as mobile and web applications that is a plus.
On a personal level you take responsibility for delivering solutions on time, and you are comfortable being in direct contact with customers and partners in order to attain goals together.
Furthermore, you:
- have a systematic and structured approach to project management
- have a high drive and a positive personality
- are highly team oriented
Additionally, you are skilled at communicating in English both in speech and in writing.
