Sales Engineer DACH

Designing mapping and navigation solutions for the biggest institutions and organizations in the DACH region.

Your job:

We are currently scaling our team in Germany, so this new addition to the team will have a unique chance of helping shape the way we do business in DACH. We can’t wait to see what your entrepreneurial spirit can bring to the table in this new role!

As our new Sales Engineer you will have a high impact on how our customers provide mapping and navigation services to their end-users. Your efforts will contribute directly to sales, to the implementation of MapsIndoors and Google Maps solutions, and to a successful long term relationship with our customers and partners. You play a key role in the process from the early sales initiation and until the solution is deployed and live.

Together with our team of technical support engineers and sales engineers you will be the customer’s technical point of contact, advising and supporting our clients on solutions to indoor positioning across various technologies and integration to Google Cloud Platform with special emphasis on Google Maps APIs. This includes

  • Participation in MapsIndoors sales and partner meetings, and lead solution discovery discussions with our clients and partners
  • Create solutions that drives sales, reduces complexity, improves efficiency and cost for both customer, partners and MapsPeople
  • Be a trusted technical advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Build trust and partnerships with clients and internal stakeholder
  • Facilitating MapsIndoors workshops, proof-of-concept, field setup, troubleshooting and testing
  • Working with development and deployment departments to communicate client's feature requests or other technical feedback
  • Qualify business opportunities from a technical viewpoint.
  • Responding to RFPs
  • Preparing, planning and execution of webinars

Your profile:

We expect you to possess a good balance of commercial and technical skills and experience, e.g. a commercial degree on Bsc or Msc level combined with experience from a similar position. Alternatively, you could also hold a technical degree within software combined with substantial commercial experience.

You have a solid foundation for advising our customers, and you know how to translate technical issues to laymen. We expect you to have at least 5 years of experience from a similar role of designing SaaS solutions and integrating them to a customers’ infrastructure. Besides solid commercial skills, we expect you to have experience with: 

  • Web apps and web technologies like REST APIs and JavaScript
  • Native mobile apps on iOS and Android as well as native SDKs for both platforms
  • Google Maps APIs and SDKs and preferably other Google technologies

Experience working in an international environment is an advantage.

Entry level coding skills are an advantage as you have to be able to guide clients and partners on how to best implement MapsIndoors and/or Google technologies into their products and platforms. You will be supported by our team of skilled developers for high level technical questions.
