Web Designer & Project Manager

Your job:

In MapsPeople we are looking to create an entirely new look and feel for our website, so we are adding a Web Designer & Project Manager role to our global Marketing team. As our new Web Designer & Project Manager you get to work with an exciting mix of design and development tasks in a creative and collaborative environment. You will own the “end to end” website project interfacing with an external agency to lead website redesign and development.

You will work closely with the entire Marketing and Product teams, as well as cross functionally with the rest of the organization. You can look forward to being part of an ambitious, global company with a diverse culture and high autonomy that we truly see as a great strength.

Your primary tasks are:

  • Be key stakeholder in the development process from the definition, through design, build, test, release, and maintenance of website, online portals, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders throughout design and implementation phases
  • Drive the projects and the execution forward to meet deadlines on time to achieve our objectives
  • Understand current and future UX trends to look for creative ideas, inspiration, and best practices
  • Develop and maintain external websites, including creating and maintaining web pages, web parts, modules, tabs, links, and other navigation tools
  • Develop A/B testing models for new website releases
  • Analyze website performance to ideate on new testing to make actionable improvements
  • Develop and drive QA process for website updates
  • Improve processes and workflows as well as evaluate new tools through design leadership

Your profile:

The ideal candidate has marketing and/or business development experience, but your educational background can vary. It is important that you have both technical insight and big picture thinking for executing swiftly on multiple tasks and projects with high efficiency. Moreover, we expect you to have experience with the following:

  • Experience with website/online project from design to implementation
  • Excellent project management skills is key to success
  • Experience with front-end website edits - i.e. HTML/CSS
  • Platform expertise in Wordpress & Hubspot
  • Experience with SEO best practices
  • A strong understanding of branding, product marketing, and communications

It is an advantage if you have backend technical expertise for website optimization, as well as experience with customer/partner portals.
