Your job:

As our new Art director and UI Designer you are responsible for shaping the visual identity of our platform MapsIndoors, as well as the look and feel of our indoor map products that are an integral part of our customer and partner solutions. In short you will help us push our UI design and product experience to the next level!

You will work with our marketing, development, and digitization teams to make sure we create a unified design experience that raises the bar for what an indoor mapping platform can look and feel like.

We need to inspire our customers so they understand the kinds of experiences they can create using MapsIndoors, and you will play a key role in achieving this.

You will work with and across different company functions from Product Management, Product Development, Marketing, and Sales to help deliver amazing products.

Your profile:

The future of indoor map visualization and navigation needs an amazing design. As we move from flat 2D floor plans to immersive 3D experiences, we need someone to help us shape that future - someone with passion, dedication, and the drive to make MapsIndoors of today and tomorrow great.

Your exceptional design skills, great sense of aesthetics, and user-centered design principles make you able to excel at this task. Your educational background can vary, but it is important that you have a sharp eye for aesthetics and technical understanding. Furthermore, you have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in designing user interfaces and 3D models
  • Strong practical UI design skills (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
  • Excellent 3D design and animation skills (Blender, 3D Studio, C4D, Maya or similar)
  • Digital concept development skills (Storyboarding, visual communication)

  • Strong communication skills (Build storyboards, concepts, and prototypes to present and validate ideas. Work with developers to ensure your designs are feasible, and sales and marketing to ensure we are getting the perceived value across).

If you are skilled within video animation (After Effects or similar video editing tools) and possess basic coding skills (Three.js, CSS, and JavaScript) it is a plus, but not a must.

When applying for the job, please attach a portfolio showcasing your 2D and 3D UI and graphics work.
